Biography

I was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario. I received my post-secondary education from the University of Windsor and my diploma in Paralegal Studies from St. Clair College. I have a background in Communications and Fine Arts. I am an award-winning producer for radio-broadcast media, and my art has been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Windsor and internationally.

In 2002, I began programming a free-form music show on Windsor, Ontario's only public radio station CJAM 91.5FM. The forum was a perfect fit for a young audiophile. The two-hour block allowed me to share my unique, eccentric musical interests. Eventually, the show garnered an audience. A niche status and a reputation for selecting great music.
I was introduced to Ableton Live 4 in 2004. I used the program to produce sound pieces for the gallery, LIVE sets for radio, and live performances. Ableton opened the world of audio production.
In 2010 I changed the focus of my radio show. Night Vision lit up the evening airwaves in February- on CJAM's new frequency, 99.1FM Windsor/Detroit. Two months later, Night Vision received CJAM's Best Electronic show 2010 and again in April 2011.
In 2007, my sound piece titled 'My Lullaby' was included in the Art Gallery of Windsor's Biennale 2007. A meditation on the parasitic nature of the auditory ambience of my hometown. My entry into the gallery space was an opportunity to present a community's transient uncanny phonic qualities as a collective identity and a memory. It was the first-ever sound-only art piece installed by an artist in the Art Gallery of Windsor. This work inspired another decade-long era of making and sound art.
I continue to explore and translate sound and memory's spatial properties and effects by exploring and decoding the community. Identity. Family. Trauma and transcendence through broadcast and published interviews in dialogue with artists and musicians. Through photography. Soundscape production. Original scores. Mixed media installations and performance. With video. Physical sculpture. Process performance and new media.

In 2020, I began a journey to pursue a place for myself as a stakeholder in the Justice sector. I want to provide greater access to justice for everyone.

I am passionate about serving people. I have fourteen years of volunteer experience with several not-for-profit corporations in the Windsor/Essex region. I enjoy advocacy and believe in people before profit.

After spending 15 months completing an accelerated academic program and the field placement required by the Law Society of Ontario, I prepared to write the P1 licensing exam. During my practicum with St. Clair College, I gained knowledge and experience in all areas of law practicable by a licensed and insured Paralegal in Ontario. Notably Administrative Law. Landlord and tenant board. Labour boards and tribunals. Social benefits tribunals. Torts and contracts and Civil law. In July 2020, I passed my qualifying exam with the Law Society of Ontario. I am now a licensed and insured Paralegal in Windsor, Ontario. I am also a new entrepreneur, general manager, and senior paralegal at Desjardins Paralegal Services.
I have years of experience in creative planning and project execution. Including resource management skills, strong writing, and storytelling skills. Advanced communications, media, and cultural proficiencies. Hard skills in studio and live performance. Coding. Production. And journalism.

In my career, I have encountered and mastered many contemporary ethical problems and issues around information and media, public relations, culture and communications, and interpersonal relationships.

I am passionate about serving people. I have fourteen years of volunteer experience with several not-for-profit corporations in the Windsor/Essex region. I enjoy advocacy and believe in people before profit. I am currently the acting Secretary for the Arts Council Windsor Region.

Further, I look forward to providing members of my community with affordable, professional access to justice.
