Artist Statement

Memory. Identity. Family. Trauma. Aesthetic relations. Transcendence.

I am a Windsorite, born and raised in Southwestern Ontario. I create sound art, sculpture, video, and performance art. My first exhibited sound artwork draws inspiration from my community, wherein a unique ambience is a fundamental element of the culture. The booms, the hums, and hisses weave sound like oxygen elements. It is a dystopic melange of grungy scraping metal brakes, hot hissing asphalt and angry yellow-stained seagulls. You may appreciate it as such or more when affected by its intricate dynamics strung into an orchestra.
